The Mosman Bowling Club prides itself on its beautiful old building, gardens and its well maintained greens and of course an affable bunch of members and staff. The club house includes a generous hall, commercial kitchen, bar and upstairs games-come-meeting room. Norma and Brenda run the bar and kitchen which are open on bowling days and other social occasions. On Wednesdays and Saturdays, they serve up scones for afternoon tea, and prepare sandwich lunches - place lunch orders when you book your game. We welcome visitors to use our facilities for private functions and corporate events. | | | A Brief History The club's beginnings predate 1901 with what was then the Mosman Recreation Club. Lawn bowls commenced with the completion of the greens in 1902 and the club was officially opened the following year. Membership was exclusively for men until the 70's when the club expanded with the formation of the Mosman Park Women's Bowling Club. Affiliation Mosman Bowling Club is affiliated with Sydney Northern District Bowling Association - Zone 9 which administers the game for the Royal NSW Bowling Association. Mosman Park Women’s Bowling Club is affiliated with the NSW Women’s Bowling Association. . | | Play There is a weekly program of social bowls as well as Club Championship and Inter-club matches. The club also hosts carnivals and special events to which visitors are welcome. |
